Sean McCann

I am a BABCP accredited cognitive behavioural psychotherapist and a COSCA accredited therapist trainer with experience working across a wide range of client groups. Whether you are effected by anxiety or depression, OCD or phobia, or if you just want to feel more confident, I can help. I have worked with veterans affected by PTSD and complex PTSD for the past 3 years at Combat Stress in Ayr. If you are affected by traumatic experiences, or have been experiencing persistent depression, I have completed specialist training which can help me guide you to make the changes you want. I am an experienced substance misuse therapist with years of experience working with a range of clients from those in early/sustained recovery, to those still in active addiction. As well as one to one therapy, I offer therapy for couples and I facilitate groups using CBT interventions. I am an experienced SMART Recovery facilitator. I believe in adopting an evidenced based, collaborative approach with clients and I would never ask a client to undertake an exercise in which I could not explain the therapeutic rationale. If you decide to begin a course of therapy and would like to work in a systematic, scientific, and rational way, I look forward to meeting you and sharing your therapeutic journey. You can contact me through the Centre Of Therapy.
